Basket

MOA: University of British Columbia

3000/34

Large oblong basket. Base is rectangular, with thick walls flaring upward with a slight curve, and rounded corners. The weave overall is small and tight. Imbricated decorations have faded and decayed but suggest many vertical lines of cherry bark across the surface of the basket, with small squares of the same attached to both sides of the lines at regular intervals.
