Grass skirt consisting of loose strands of sago leaf attached to a waistband. The waistband features three rows and seventeen columns of alternating dark brown and yellow-brown woven plant fibres bordered by braids of ruddy-brown sago leaf. Three thick tassels of knotted sago leaf strips protrude from the waistband clasped with cylinder appendages of woven dark brown and yellow-brown fibres in alternating ā€˜V’ patterns. The waistband ends in a broad loop at one end with a knotted tie of loose sago leaf strips; and at the other, a broad, loose braid with a thick knot from which sprouts a long tuft of loose strands and braids.
