The waistband features three rows and seventeen columns of alternating dark brown and yellow-brown woven plant fibres bordered by braids of ruddy-brown sago leaf. Three thick tassels of knotted sago leaf strips protrude from the waistband clasped with cylinder appendages of woven dark brown and yellow-brown fibres in alternating āVā patterns.
