Terracotta cup with globular base and polychrome slip decoration. The exterior ground is painted black, with concentric squares red, orange and cream. Short red horizontal lines are painted on either side over a vertical cream line. The interior is unpainted. The cup has been broken and repaired, and there are small pieces missing.

  • Narrative

The decor on the cup is in the form of a small bag. The short vertical lines painted at each side represent the stitch marks of a seam. This is a rare subject for these cups.
