Terracotta double spout bottle with globular body and polychrome slip decoration. The base is orange-brown and the body is decorated with closely packed crayfish and small fish in dark red, orange, tan off-white and mauve on a black ground. The two spouts are centred opposite each other on top of the body and there is a wide strap handle between them. The spouts and handle are dark red, and they taper towards the open ends. The spouts are chipped around the openings and there are cuts around each, close to the strap handle.

  • History Of Use

The cuts on the spouts near the handle are for cord attachment of stoppers.
