MOA: University of British Columbia
2990/95
Terracotta jar in the shape of a hunchback human figure. The figure wears a hat, with a chin strap, which flares wide to the open rim of the jar. There is a wide depression on the interior back lip for pouring. A hump protrudes from the top centre of the figure's back, the arms are bent at the figure's side, there is a round pendant on the chest, and the feet are bare. The details of the face are incised, and the ears, nose and chin protrude. There is faded painted decoration visible on the chest to either side of the pendant, the back of the head behind the right ear, behind the right shoulder, as well as below the figure's left arm. The figure's right foot has been broken and repaired.
