Square lantern slide made of two pieces of glass, one with the image painted on it, the other clear, held together by a ‘frame’ of black paper tape. The colour, circular image shows an interior scene in which a man, an elderly woman in a bonnet and shawl, and two children kneel in prayer beside a pile of potatoes on the floor. The ninth slide in a series of nine. Stamped in the wood: "W.C. Hughes" and there is a paper label in one corner with a large green number "9".
