Photographic lantern slide made of two pieces of glass, one with the photo printed on it, the other clear, held together by a ‘frame’ of black paper tape. The black and white photo shows a large bouquet of flowers at centre, with two ceramic figures of bald men with long white beards to either side, a ceramic bowl with intricate designs at front, and a model of a pagoda-type structure in the background. A dark blue and gold border surrounds the image. Inscriptions read: "Centennial Photographic Co. / Philadelphia / International Exhibition. / Registered 1878...Artificial Flowers, Chinese Sect’n..."
