Carving of a mother bird with four chicks sitting as if on water (part a). Two of the four chicks detach from the base (parts b-c). Three of the chicks have a tusk peg which goes into a hole in the base; the mother bird and one chick have a metal peg. Only the mother bird has black inset eyes, one of which is missing. The chicks have eyes darkened with ink. On the base is written "Metil."
