The sled (part a) is made of many individual pieces (each cross bar and each runner is a separate piece - lashed by sinew done in the way a real sled would be lashed). On top of the sled is lemming fur for a driver to sit on. Tucked under the lemming fur is a separate harpoon (part d) and a separate hitch line and toggle (part e). The driver (part b) is carved in a separate piece and has a separate rifle (part c). Attached to the front of the sled is the hitch for the dogs complete with a toggle for the attachment of each dog.
