Large black and brown tenmoku stoneware vase. Long narrow neck with two pinches matched by small points at opposite edges of the round mouth. A wavy brown line circles under the rim. Body is wide and round at the shoulders before curving in and back out slightly at base. Small lugs sit on each shoulder. Five carved Xs decorate the base. Maker's marks on side of neck.
