Stone figure with a large wedge shaped head with deeply carved ridges indicating hair or a headdress, above a large nose with wide nostrils, inset bulging eyes with heavy lids, and a small mouth in a wide jaw. The body is small, in a seated position with arms bent and hands connecting with chin, knees drawn up to chest. The front of the sculpture is a dark mottled grey, while the back is lighter in colour with stripes of orange in the stone.

History Of Use
Nomoli figures are placed near homes and in crop fields as a form of protection, in the belief that the nomoli will bring good health and good harvests.
