Byzantine coin of Justinian I, 527-565. Obverse: Justinian I, enthroned, with diadem; to left, he holds a sceptre; to right, he holds a globus cruciger; to left, inscription says ‘[D]NIV[ST]INI’; to right, it is illegible or missing. Reverse: large ‘I’; to left, 'B'; to right, a cross; to right of cross, 'OPDI' in a vertical position; in exergue, 'THEϤP'.
