Byzantine coin of Justin II, 565-578. Obverse: busts of Justin II, on left, and Sophia, on right, both facing forwards; there is a cross between their heads; inscription is mostly illegible, but to right, it may say ‘NVI’; in exergue, ‘VITA’. Reverse: large ‘K’; to left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘VIII’ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ‘S’; in exergue, ‘KAR’.
