Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: two rulers standing and facing front; Heraclius is on the left; Heraclius Constantine, his son, is on the right; each wears a crown with a cross; Heraclius Constantine holds a globus cruciger in his right hand; to left, partially obscuring Heraclius, there is a large ‘M’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to right, ‘XXII’ or ‘XXϚ’; above, ‘P’ within a cross; beneath, it is difficult to decipher (possibly ‘E’?); in exergue, ‘CON’. Coin has been overstruck, resulting in the confusion on the obverse.
