Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: bust of Heraclius, facing front; he wears a crown with cross; to left, inscription says ‘Y…hER’; to right, ‘CCΛ’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘[A]N[NO]’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘III’ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ‘E’; in exergue, ‘CO[N]’. This coin has been overstruck, causing confusion on both sides.
