Byzantine coin of Constans II, 641-668. Obverse: bust of Constans II, facing forwards; he wears a crown with a cross; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to left, inscription is illegible; to right, it says ‘COhST’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANA’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘II’ or ‘III’; above, cross and ‘XX’; beneath, ‘E’; in exergue, ‘T…’. This coin has been overstruck, causing confusion on the reverse.
