Byzantine coin of Constans II, 641-668. Obverse: bust of Constans II, facing forwards; he wears a chlamys and a crown with a cross; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to left, inscription says ‘PER’; to right, ‘hST’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to right, ‘II’ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ‘E’; in exergue, ‘NEO’. This coin has been overstruck.
