Byzantine coin of Constans II, 641-668. Obverse: bust of Constans II, facing forwards, with short beard; he wears a crown with trefoil ornament; to right, he holds a globus cruciger; to left, inscription says ‘NS’; to right, ‘TANV…P’. Reverse: large cross; to left, ‘CX’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘TX’ in a vertical position; above, star between two pellets. This coin has been overstruck.
