Byzantine coin of Leontius, 695-698. Obverse: bust of Leontius, facing front; he wears a loros, an embroidered and jewelled scarf; to right, there is a cross. Reverse: large ‘K’; to left, ‘[A]NNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘A’; beneath, ‘Γ’. Coin has been overstruck. There is some debate about whether this type of coin belongs to Leontius or Leo III.
