Byzantine coin of Tiberius III, 698-705. Obverse: bust of Tiberius, facing front, with short beard; he holds a spear diagonally in front of his body; to left, cross; to left, inscription most likely says ‘ϤI…A’; to right, it says ‘EAV’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘[A]NN[O]’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘I’; above, cross; beneath, ‘Γ’; in exergue, ‘[C]O[N]’.
