Byzantine coin of Leo III, 717-741. Obverse: bust of Leo III, facing front, with short beard; he wears a chlamys and a crown with cross; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to left, inscription says ‘EO’ ?; to right, it is illegible. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘A’; to right, ‘XX’ in a vertical position; above, bust of Constantine V, resting on a horizontal bar; to either side of the horizontal bar, there are two pellets; he wears a chlamys; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to right, cross.
