Byzantine coin of Alexius I, 1081-1118. Obverse: bust of Christ, facing front; to left, inscription says '[I]C'; to right, it says 'X[C]'. Reverse: bust of Alexius I, facing front; he wears a loros, an embroidered and jewelled scarf; to left, he holds a jewelled sceptre; to right, he holds a globus cruciger. The inscription on the obverse in translation says 'Jesus Christ'.
