Doll wearing an amautik parka, carrying a child. Female doll has eyes embroidered in black thread and mouth in red, with a slightly protruding nose. Hair of wool is sewn onto the head with ends braided in ponytails. Amautik parka is made from canvas, with embroidered decoration along hem and wrists, and a blue and red belt tied at waist. A light cotton robe with decoration similar to the parka is slung through the belt at back. Doll wears a pink and white gingham skirt over a lace underskirt. Boots are leather, topped with a felt cuff and fur trim. The knit figure of an infant (part b) wrapped in a pink and blue blanket, its facial features embroidered in black thread, rides in a hood pouch attached to the mother’s parka at the neck.
