Byzantine coin of Andronicus II, 1282-1328, or of Andronicus III, 1328-1341. Obverse: two large letters, which say ‘WB’ or a backwards ‘B’ and ‘M’; above or beneath the letters, there is a crescent and a star. Reverse: bust of Andronicus II or III, facing front; he wears a loros, which is an embroidered and jewelled scarf; to right, inscription says ‘NIK’.
