Byzantine coin of Alexius III, 1195-1203. Obverse: bust of Christ; he has a large halo; to left, inscription says 'IC'; to right, 'XC'. Reverse: two figures, standing and facing front; to left, Alexius III; to right, Saint Constantine; each wears a loros, which is an embroidered and jewelled scarf; between them, they hold a globus cruciger; each of them also holds a labarum, a military standard. Coin is concave.
