Byzantine coin from the Latin Rulers of Constantinople Period, 1204-1261. Obverse: a bust, facing front; he or she has a halo. Reverse: a figure, standing and facing front; he is most likely an emperor; he wears a loros, which is an embroidered and jewelled scarf; to left, he holds a long cross; to right, he holds a small cross which has something hanging from it. Coin is concave.

    The Latin Rulers of Constantinople captured the city after the Fourth Crusade in 1204. They were driven out by the Byzantine Greeks in 1261.
