Latex (balata) figure of a water buffalo with rider. Figure is made of dyed latex rubber, hand molded. Water buffalo stands in a wide stance with neck extended, ears drooping, horns curving in toward head, and tail curved away from the body at back. Animal is coloured dark grey with areas of light grey on legs and face. A man sites astride it on a brown saddle that holds a roll at back and a lasso strapped at left. He holds a short whip in one hand and reins in the other, which are looped around the horns and through a ring in the animal’s nose. Man wears black boots, blue and yellow pants, and striped shirt. A wide brimmed brown hat sits atop his head.
