Latex (balata) figure of two monkeys. Figure is made of dyed latex rubber, hand molded. A large monkey squats in a sitting position with knees raised, arms held wide to the front at shoulder height, balancing partially on its curled tail at back. A banana is gripped in the right hand. An infant monkey clings to the larger one’s back, with its hands on the shoulders. Both monkeys are covered in incised lines to indicate body hair.
