Byzantine coin from the 12th to 13th centuries CE. Obverse: bust of Christ, facing front; he wears a nimbus cruciger, which is a cross within a halo; to left, inscription says ‘KE’; to right, ‘HΘE’. Reverse: two figures, facing front; the figure on the left is slightly taller (likely an emperor, while the figure to the right is probably a son or co-emperor); each holds something long, such as a spear or long cross; to left, inscription says ‘IW’. Coin is concave.
