MOA: University of British Columbia
3151/12
Wool bag. Small purse is square, woven heavily with designs such as floral motifs, diamonds, and ‘x’ shapes. A thick pane of long fringe hangs from its bottom, decorative remnants of the fibres the bag was woven from. A second pane of shorter fringe is attached to three flaps on the front of the bag. A long ribbon-handle is woven from wool and sewn to the sides of the bag. Its yarn contributes to the pane of fringe.
