Screen made of patterned silk, fully lined on the back. On front is an image of waves in white and grey, crashing into highly coloured rocks of brown, green, gold and yellow. Seafoam is highlighted with gold and silver speckles and gold outlining. Three sets of long, green and white silk ribbons with gold stamping hang from the top of the screen, attached by yellow cord. Cording also runs horizontally through the fabric at top to allow opening and closing. Long cords in pink, gold, orange, white, purple and green hang from this and down the outside edges of the textile. Backside of screen is a dark yellow and light brown pattern of stylized flowers.
