Cotton blanket. Large textile is made of fourteen long thin pieces of weaving that have been stitched together. Each contains the same designs, alternating in some instances, matched in others to create long continuous lines. Near centre of blanket, Niger’s flag appears many times as well as patches with Niger’s colours of green and orange. Other designs include red or black lines in a variety of thicknesses, and several diamond shapes motifs. Nearer the edges the majority of design is short lines made of black dots on a white ground, along with stripes in red, black and white. A single patch of blue sits close to one end. Ends of blanket have short white fringe.
