Kpelie mask carved of stained wood. Long oval female face that tapers to a point at the chin. Round projecting mouth exposes teeth. Arched brows form a continuous crosshatched pattern across the face. Long slender nose with slightly bulging slit eyes. Face marked with concentric diamonds symmetrically flanking each side. Two sets of fin-like projections extend from each side of the face. Emerging from either lower side of mask are two tapering, oblong projections. Central rosette crest surmounting forehead symmetrically flanked by bull horns. A small bird with head down stands on the crown. Mounting hardware attached to back - two eye hooks and a red wire.
