Dehua lotus porcelain plate with slightly raised edge, and raised circular foot. The background is light bue-white with two levels of panels with suspended floral designs, which is similar on the underside around the foot. At centre, a large blue spiral. Rim is blue.

Narrative
Based on the pattern, this may be a piece of the pottery recovered from the Tek Sing, a boat that sunk in the South China Sea in 1822.
