MOA: University of British Columbia

3452/1

Miniature 'tree of life' sculpture made from clay in the shape of a densely branched tree with a thick trunk. Densely covered with red, blue and dark blue clay flowers and green leaves attached to thin wires that are sunk into the tree. Amongst the foliage are placed a myriad of decorations, including trompo spinning tops, butterflies, birds, sunflowers, a sun, a blue and white lidded jar, and a mermaid with a pink tail holding a stringed instrument at centre. Behind the mermaid is a purple arch with flowers across it, and extending out from it. There are four candle holders - two on each side, one pink and one blue.
