Oval-shaped ankle dance rattle consisting of nine bells attached to a brass band. Band is rounded with raised plain and braided horizontal lines across top, exterior and bottom sides; interior is undecorated. The bells cover the majority of the band and have slits through their centres; raised square motif around edges of slits. Tops and bottoms of bells are decorated with a raised swirl motif. Opening at back of band. Ends have large semi-circles attached and are trimmed with bands of plain and braided vertical lines, and a column of concentric semi-circles.

The donor taught in a rural school in Tobli, eastern Liberia, from 1965 to 1967.
