Oval-shaped ankle dance rattle made of a folded brass band. Interior side is flat; top and bottom are rounded. Top and bottom edges are pinched at four points on exterior side; semi-circles protrude from top and bottom edges in between pinched sections. Holes punched through top and bottom semi-circles, first and second from the right; hole punched through top semi-circle, second from the left. Metal balls rattle in between four sets of semi-circles. Opening at back of band; ends are flat and curled into tight circles.

    The donor taught in a rural school in Tobli, eastern Liberia, from 1965 to 1967.
