String puppet of a nobleman character. The nobleman has carved and painted brown beard, moustache and chin-length hair, pink cheeks and blue eyes. He wears a long reddish-orange robe with off-white lace around the sleeve's cuffs and a small green fabric panel with gold edging and gold tassels pinned to the waist with two honeycomb-patterned metal pins. The robe is kept together by three snap closures. Overtop, he wears a matching reddish-orange cape with lace collar that is pinned together at the neck with another honeycomb-patterned metal pin. He has tall carved boots painted red with gold cuffs. The control stick is attached to his head by a long metal rod, with strings extending from the control stick to limbs. The body is jointed at the elbows, knees, shoulders, and hips – with fabric upper arms.
