Procession Cross

MOA: University of British Columbia

3595/4

Elaborately carved metal cross. The upper portion is diamond-shaped with intricate carved out sections and incised lines. In the centre of the diamond is a cross, with a humanoid face in the centre. A black fibre string is tied around the top of the diamond. Below the diamond is a narrow rectangular section with incised lines, which connects to a square with rounded corners. A winged humanoid figure is incised into the centre of this square. Below is a smaller square shape with a rounded top and four sections carved out to make another cross. Two rounded and one diamond-shaped juts emerge from the sides of the square as an extension of the cross. The two squares also have incised lines.
