Tie Rack
MOA: University of British Columbia
3660/51
Tie rack made of fabric-covered rigid board (likely paper). The body of the rack is rectangular, with an arched top edge and a scalloped bottom edge. The front of the rack is dark purple pile velvet with a beaded floral design in green, grey and amber along the top of the rack. There is a wide, rigid band across the bottom half of the body, with a wide space between the band and the body. Across the band are the words "TIE RACK" in white beads, with sequins dotting the spaces in between the letters. There is a double row of blue beads along all of the edges, and a twisted, double strand of multi-coloured beads attached along the top edge top, likely meant for hanging the rack on a wall. There are three loops of pink and blue beaded fringe hanging in three spots along the bottom edge - at each corner and in the centre. The back of the rack is covered in a red fabric.
