Byzantine coin of Justinian I, 527-565. Obverse: bust of Justinian I, facing forward, with diadem and helmet with plume; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to right, there is a cross; to left, inscription is illegible; to right, it says 'ANVS'. Reverse: large ‘K’; to right, ‘XXI'; above, a cross; beneath, ‘S’; in exergue, ‘[CA]RT’.
