Byzantine coin of Justin II, 565-578. Obverse: Justin II, on left, and Sophia, on right, both enthroned; between them, they hold a globe with a large cross above it; each also holds a long sceptre; both rulers have haloes; inscriptions are blundered; to the left, it says ‘TNI…Λ; to the right, ‘IL…PT…’. Reverse: large ‘I’; to the left, ‘ANN[O]’ in a vertical position; to the right, ‘ϤI’; above, cross; in exergue, ‘THEUP’.
