Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: two rulers standing and facing front; Heraclius is on the left; Heraclius Constantine, his son, is on the right; each wears a crown with cross and holds a globus cruciger in their right hand; between their heads, there is a cross; to left, inscription says ‘PER’, followed by a cross; to right, it says ‘ERΛCONS’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANN[O]’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘IIII’ in a vertical position; above, ‘P’ within a cross; beneath, ‘Δ’ or ‘A’; in exergue, ‘CON’. Coin has been overstruck, resulting in some confusion on the obverse. The inscription to the left of Heraclius belongs to a previous coin, while the inscription to the right belongs to this coin.
