Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: two rulers standing and facing front; Heraclius is on the left; Heraclius Constantine, his son, is on the right; each wears a crown with a cross and holds a globus cruciger in their right hand; between their heads, there are two crosses; to left, inscriptions are illegible; to right, it says ‘XII’ and a sideways ‘N’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘III’ in a vertical position; to far right, ‘TbERPP’; above, ‘P’ within a cross; beneath, ‘A’; in exergue, ‘CON’. This coin has been overstruck. The ‘TbERPP’ on the reverse indicates that it was once used during the reign of a previous emperor, Maurice Tiberius.
