Byzantine coin of Philippicus, 711-713. Obverse: bust of Philippicus, facing front; he wears a loros, an embroidered and jewelled scarf; to right, he holds a long sceptre, with an eagle at its top; above, there is an upside-down ‘CON’, which belongs to a previous coin. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘[A]NN[O]’ in a vertical position; beneath, ‘A’; in exergue, ‘CON’. Coin has been overstruck.
