Byzantine coin of Alexius III, 1195-1203. Obverse: bust of Saint George, facing front; he has a halo; to right, he holds a spear. Reverse: Alexius III, standing and facing front; to left, he holds a cruciform sceptre; to right, he holds a globus cruciger; to left, inscription says ‘ΛE’, followed by a backwards ‘Z’, then ‘I’; to right, ‘ΔC’.
