Narrative
This coin is from the Empire of Thessalonica, which was one of the empires founded by the Byzantines after the fall of Constantinople in 1204. It was eventually annexed by the neighbouring Empire of Nicaea, and was then incorporated into the restored Byzantine Empire in 1261.
