Ceramic tile, square. On a light grey background, tile has an image in maroon of a biblical scene in which Jonathan, in soldier’s clothing, prepares to shoot an arrow from a bow while a young servant boy runs to gathers up those previously shot. King Saul hides amongst hills in the distance. Reference “1 : Sam:20:35” is written along the bottom of the scene. Image is surrounded by a circular border, and ox-head motifs decorate the corners of the tile. Top surface is glazed and shiny; sides and bottom are undecorated.
