Ceramic tile, square. On a light grey background, tile has an image in maroon of a biblical scene in which Samson fights a lion. A long haired man straddles a lion’s back, arm captured in the animal’s mouth. The scene takes place in a hilly, late-year landscape, with a bare tree and fence to the right, and spires to the left. Reference “Richteren 14: V: 5:16” is written along the bottom of the scene. Image is surrounded by a circular border, and ox-head motifs decorate the corners of the tile. Top surface is glazed and shiny; sides and bottom are undecorated.
