Spindle Whorl

Wood spindle and whorl. Shaft is long and thin, tapering to a point at each end. A cylindrical clay whorl sits at mid-point, painted black and carved with lines and dots which are filled with white, yellow, brown and rust coloured paint. The wood on either side of the whorl is painted red-brown, dark brown, and yellow. The spindle’s tips are unpainted.
